I, Maarten, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2008 when I was just 3 months old. After brain surgery, chemotherapy in Seattle and proton radiation therapy in Boston, the tumor slept for 8 years but came back in 2017. My amazing brain surgeons and radiologists managed to remove it once again. We are now in 2021 and the tumor has showed its ugly face again. We are lucky to have our life-long Seattle Children's medical team at our side to beat this thing down once more!
I can't believe the change in Maarten since I saw him last spring... Happy days!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteToday we celebrated 'Sint Maarten' with Sarah and Beau. I think Sacha knows it from her childhood in Heiloo. It's quite similar to your trick and treat with Haloween. It was great fun with our lampoons and all the singing of the kids.
And we had to think of Maarten too ofcourse. He looks great with that snowman hat! Hope you had fun with Haloween and that everything is going fine.
greets Helen
Hi again! We got your mail today, thanks very much! It's so good to read that Maartens health is so good that he can make the long flight to Europe. Have fun with the preparations.
